Hairs grow in various phases. After a period of growth the hair follicle, out of which the hair grows, will rest. It takes a number of weeks or months for a new hair to grow out of it. Lasers will only treat hairs that are in their growth phase.
This means that not all hair can be removed in one session. For an optimal result a number of laser sessions is therefore necessary. The Sensitif method will comprehend an average of 4 - 6 treatments.
The treatment is suitable for nearly everybody! All skin types can be treated: from a light skin tone to a darker skin.Sensitif also treats negroid skin types, provided there is a colour contrast between skin and hair.
A tanned skin is not treatable, since the energy will then be absorbed by the skin pigment instead of by the hair. For it is the hair pigment that conducts the heat to hair follicle. For the same reason people without hair pigment, such as those with red or gray hair, cannot be treated.
