1. Can all skin types be treated?

Yes, all skin types can be treated. Your skin is carefully examined and we determine your skin type. Let us inform you during the free consultation.

2. Can all hair types be treated?

Yes, except down and gray hair.  During the consultation we determine the hair type. You will then be informed whether treatment is useful.

3. When is the best time to start the treatments?

It doesn't matter when you start, but make sure that you have been protected against the sun for two months and have not been waxed. You can best protect the treatment area with clothing and otherwise with a sunblock.

4. Can I stop the treatments in the meantime and continue later?

Yes that is possible. We can inform you about this during the consultation.

5. Can I just walk at the streets after having a laser face treatment?

Yes, that's possible. We cool the treated area very well and for that reason nothing or hardly anything is visible after the laser treatment.

6. Is it painful?

Permanent hair removal with the LightSheer DUET is almost painless. It is limited to a short, warm, stinging feeling. Of all hair removal methods, the Lightsheer DUET is arguably the least painful.

7. Who carries out the treatments and is there a doctor connected to the clinic?

There is a doctor and a dermatologist associated with the clinic. SENSITIF sets high admission requirements for its staff and specializes in laser hair removal. The treatments are performed by qualified laser therapists under strict hygienic conditions.

8. Are there any risks involved?

No, not if you adhere to our regulations and guidelines. These are stated on the information letter that you receive during the consultation. Research from the United States has shown that it is clinically proven that treatment with the LightSheer DUET and / or ET does not have any adverse long-term effects.

9. Since when has SENSITIF specialized in laser hair removal?

We have been doing this work for more than 10 years and have built up a wealth of experience. Moreover, we do not perform any other cosmetic treatments because we are specialists in laser hair removal. We have already performed more than 40,000 treatments.

10. Which equipment does SENSITIF use and how do I know if it works properly?

We use the LightSheer DUET diode laser, currently the best equipment in the world for permanent hair removal. It is a medical laser from the United States with FDA (Food and Drug Administration) Approval. This is a quality mark that reflects the effectiveness and safety of the product. We focus entirely on laser hair removal and are up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of laser technology from the United States. SENSITIF is the first in the Netherlands to work with this laser.

11. Is SENSITIF affiliated with all health insurers and is treatment reimbursed?

Yes, we are among others a member of the Dutch Association of Skin Therapists (NVH). If you are additionally insured, treatments in the face or part of the face will be reimbursed. The amount of the reimbursement depends on your health insurer and the policy that you have.
